sportsman 90 fresh carb full of gas only idols, when you give it gas it revs until it uses the gas it acts like starves then it idols fine fyi changed the auto choke to a manual choke.also put new gas line on - paul, minneapolis, Minnesota

Answer: Depends on the bike and local laws. If you can get it tagged and then add lights, turn signals, brake light etc (whatever your state requires, it can be done) If you don't already have a title - it can be a pain. good luck - Ted, , Mississippi |

1998 CR125R, Question:
i am having problems with my 98 cr 125 idle and taking off i have to be on the clutch. has only couple hours on new piston and ring. the bike is lacking mass power in low rpms but good in high rpms. i have owned alot of 125s and know you have to keep the rpms up but this 1 i cant figure out. has bills pipe and 175 main jet and 52 pilot. anything helps im confused and ready to scrap. iv tried everything i know. thanks - stump, yelm, Washington

Answer: remove and clean power valves.also check clearance on valves(will need manual) makes a huge differance on crs .also drain power valve residue chamber- screw with copper washer behind it behind right side of exhaust pipe-sorta hidden.do not mistake for water pump drain plug.also new silencer packing helps alot.good luck - tim s, , Massachusetts |

2000 RM 250, Question:
I own a 02 suzuki rm250. the shock underneath the seat is starting to go bad. Is this an expensive fix? i saw a few on e-bay for sale, but I was told they have to be filled with nitro to absorb the weight of the body. Is this true? Answer: yes it is an easy fix about 100.00 from ebay/ another way to make ur bike fast is exhaust/ nad run 93 gas in it with klotz super techniplate. - anthony kalfut, smmithfield, Pennsylvania |

2006 CRF250R, Question:
I just bought this bike 3 days ago and I am having the problem of a long warm up, slow and boggy get up when u twist the throttle and when the bike is warmed up it gets harder to start. I have only rode RM 250's 2 stroke so somebody please fill m in on the 4 stroke. Is there any thing I can do for this???? 2004 Eiger 400 4x4, Question:
My Suzuki Eiger since new is very difficult to operate during the winter when I use it the most. The choke has to stay on a very long time, and with the higher idle, the atv doesn't want to go into any gear. I know it needs to be richer at idle and just off idle. I loosened the clamps, rotated the carb, removed the mixture screw cap, turned the screw out 1/4 turn, it got worse. I was able to turn the screw back in 1/4 turn on the
atv.(very difficult) I tried to turn it further in but it is next to impossible to adjust on the atv, while it's warm. I asume the screw is a air screw since I think it richened in turning the screw in. Please tell me am I far off base with this problem, and how to correct my problem. Answer: there is another adjusment screw on your carburetor for the idle but u have to remove the carburetor to get to it. u have to leave ur choke on for a long time because its not getting enough gas at idle to warm up .and putting it in gear at a high i dle will ess up the electronic high and low range parts in the transmission

I have a hesitation at first throttle response of giving it throttle off of a jump at low end. Answer: look up the length of the throttle stop of an 05 yzf 250 and have a machine shop cut your wr stop to that exact length and then put it back in place. it's not good to ride it without the stop in place. - jeff, fyffe, Alabama |
